The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover

Peter Greenaway's 1989 drama plays out almost entirely inside one restaurant, following a gangster, his wife, her lover, and the cook who watches over them all. Helen Mirren plays the wife, appearing nude in multiple scenes that show her affair unfolding against her husband's violence. The archive holds 9 scenes pulled from the film, including explicit sex scenes between Mirren and her on-screen lover. It remains one of the more explicit dramatic roles in her filmography from that decade.
