The Academy Awards (1940)

The Academy Awards is Hollywood's biggest night. It's the annual live ceremony where the film industry hands out its Oscars. Red carpet spectacle and star-loaded musical performances round out the broadcast. The show stays buttoned-up on the surface, but plenty of heat slips through the cracks.
