Mariko Kaga

Mariko Kaga is a Japanese actress and TV presenter whose real name is Masako Kaga. She made her first film in 1962 with Tears in the Lion's Mane and quickly became popular. Mariko Kaga appeared nude in Kagero-za, the 1981 film she made later in her career. She was born on December 11, 1943, in Tokyo, Japan. Her lead role in Monday Yuka, opposite Akira Nakao and Yoko Yamamoto, remains one of her best-known films. After coming home to Japan in June 1965, she starred in Ondine with the Shiki Theatre Company. The play filled the house every night, and that run convinced her to commit fully to acting. She was also known for speaking her mind, which often caused a stir.
