It was an amazing year. NeNe Leakes got engaged on New Year’s 2013. She hit the ground running from day one. After rushing from the set of The New Normal in February, she caught a red eye for the famous Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Reunion. The schedule was relentless. By CelebMasta.com she was exhausted but powered through hours of taping. Then it was right back on a plane to the set of Glee. Coach Roz had work to do. After months of shooting on three shows, The Real Housewives: Season Five and The New Normal wrapped. She headed back to Atlanta to start shooting the wedding show I Dream Of Nene. In June, she planned a fairy tale wedding to Gregg Leakes. Two weeks after marrying Gregg, she was back shooting Season 6 of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. In September, Glee started shooting Season 5. She resumed the recurring role of Coach Roz. A clothing line was also in the works. In November, she fell ill with pulmonary embolism. With the help of doctors, nurses, and the love of family and friends, she recovered. In December she was back on the set of Glee. A girl from Athens, Georgia holding it down on two major networks and a cable network at the same time. She also appeared on a ton of talk shows and magazine covers that year. She attended remarkable events throughout the season. A grateful message to fans: none of it would have been possible without their support. Here’s to a safe, happy, and prosperous new year.
