Wu Assassins (2019)

"Wu Assassins" is a martial arts action series that follows an ordinary chef pulled into a supernatural battle rooted in ancient mysticism. Fight choreography and mythology drive most of the runtime. Katheryn Winnick and Summer Glau both join the cast, lending the show real genre-fan pedigree. Their presence gives this hub its draw beyond the fantasy plotting. There are 2 scenes on site worth a closer look. Winnick brings the same physical intensity she's known for into a sultrier register here. Glau's contribution adds a different kind of heat to the mix. Together they make this a small but worthwhile stop for fans chasing skin alongside the swordplay.
