This Is 40 (2012)

This Is 40 is Judd Apatow's comedy about a couple stumbling through marriage, money troubles, and the dread of turning forty. It's the loose spinoff to Knocked Up. It trades that film's pregnancy panic for midlife panic instead. Leslie Mann plays the frazzled wife at the center of it all. She's sharp-tongued and barely holding her household together. Her performance includes a candid, unguarded bit of exposure that's made this one worth seeking out. Megan Fox rounds out the cast, bringing her own charged presence to the film's running joke about body image and aging. There's just 1 scene available here, but it's a genuinely notable one. For a movie built on oversharing, this clip feels like the most honest confession in the whole film.
