River Of Fundament (2014)

River Of Fundament is Matthew Barney's five-hour avant-garde epic, loosely built on Norman Mailer's "Ancient Evenings," mixing performance art, opera staging, and dense mythological imagery into something closer to a fever dream than a conventional narrative film. Maggie Gyllenhaal appears in the cast, a rare detour from her usual dramatic roles into this kind of experimental production. The site holds 1 scene from the film, a nude scene featuring Gyllenhaal.
