Mediterranee

Mediterranee is a French documentary film directed by Pollet and released in 1963. Rather than telling a story, it builds a rhythmic collage of images, from a fisherman and Greek ruins to a Sicilian garden and a Spanish bullfight, joined by an abstract spoken commentary. Macha Meril appears nude in one brief sequence of the film. Antoine Duhamel wrote the somber score that holds its fragments together.
