Cold Copy follows the high-pressure world of journalism through the eyes of an ambitious student navigating ethics, mentorship, and manipulation under a formidable professor. Bel Powley anchors the drama as the young reporter in over her head, while Tracee Ellis Ross plays the magnetic journalism icon whose methods blur every line. The tension between them drives the story, and it's Powley who brings the physical exposure, with one scene on file capturing her bared and vulnerable in a moment the film uses to strip away her character's composure entirely.
