Veronica Hamel

Veronica Hamel is best known for playing public defender Joyce Davenport on Hill Street Blues, a role that made her a staple of 1980s television drama. The archive holds a nude scene from that very series, pulled from her run on the show. It is a rare piece of footage for a performer whose career mostly stayed within network television limits. The clip captures Davenport in a sex scene that became one of the series' more discussed entries among viewers tracking the show's dramatic turns. Hamel built her reputation on procedural and ensemble work, with Hill Street Blues standing as her signature credit. The site currently lists one video under her name, making this single clip the full extent of her archive here. For anyone exploring her work beyond the procedural scenes she was known for, this is the title to open first.
