Valerie Chow

Valerie Chow is a Hong Kong former actress, fashion publicist and entrepreneur. She was second runner-up at Miss Hong Kong in 1991 and went on to act in films and television. Valerie Chow appears nude in Twenty Something, while her scene in Chungking Express is in underwear. She was born on 16 December 1970 and was credited as Rachel Shane in English roles. Her best known film is Wong Kar-wai's Chungking Express from 1994. That role earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 14th Hong Kong Film Awards. In 1998 she became the first Chinese model signed by the cosmetics company Revlon. She returned to acting in 2018 with Cao Fei's Prison Architect, which screened at the Berlin International Film Festival.
