Nonna Mordyukova

Nonna Mordyukova was a Soviet actress known for her powerful dramatic work. Her archive on this site holds one nude scene, from her defining 1967 role. That film, The Commissar, cast her as a pregnant Red Army officer sheltering with a Jewish family. The role became one of the most discussed performances in Soviet cinema. Production troubles delayed its release for two decades after filming wrapped. Censors shelved it until 1987, long after it was shot. The archive entry centers on her tits scene from that picture. Mordyukova graduated from VGIK in 1950 and built a career on serious, character-driven roles. She later earned the People's Artist of the USSR title in 1974. The single video here captures a rare exposed scene from an otherwise restrained body of work.
