Mamie Gummer

Mamie Gummer built her career on stage and screen, trained at Northwestern before moving into television. She's the daughter of Meryl Streep, but her own work includes a nude sex scene in True Detective. That HBO anthology series gave her a dramatic role with real explicit content. The scene shows her fully undressed opposite a lead cast member. It's a rare case of a respected stage actress doing unsimulated-looking sex scene work on prestige television. The archive here holds just one video, but it counts. Gummer's other credits lean toward drama and theater, away from skin. That makes this single True Detective clip the title to open first. It captures her in a scene that gets discussed whenever her name comes up. One video, one sex scene, and it's the real thing.
