Eva Lobau

Eva Löbau is an Austrian actress who works in German film and television. She became known for playing the lead in Maren Ade's first feature, The Forest for the Trees. Eva Lobau went nude in Hotel Very Welcome (2007), and again in Oxytocin in 2024. She was born on April 26, 1972, in Waiblingen, West Germany. That lead role won her the best main actor prize at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema in 2005. In 2011 she played Nurse Gretchen Erfurt in Unknown, a film set in Berlin. Since 2017 she has played a commissar in The Scene of the Crime, Germany's longest running crime series. She also appeared as Friederike Kuhn in The Teacher's Lounge.
