Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Lynn Smith, known by the nickname Rainbeaux, was an American actress and musician. She worked through the 1970s and 1980s in mainstream features as well as exploitation and horror films. Cheryl Smith appeared nude alongside Kimberly Beck and Lani O'Grady in Massacre At Central High. She was born on June 6, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, and died on October 25, 2002. Her nickname came from her regular visits to the Rainbow Club, a Los Angeles hangout for musicians. She took leads in B pictures and solid smaller parts in bigger films, and many became cult classics. She also played for a time in the girl band The Runaways. Years of heroin use led to hepatitis, which caused her death.
