Bernadette Lafont

Bernadette Lafont was a French actress who appeared in more than 120 feature films. She was seen as the face of the French New Wave, with early work in A Double Tour. Bernadette Lafont went nude in La Fiancee Du Pirate (1969) and Une Belle Fille Comme Moi (1972). She was born on October 28, 1938, in Nîmes, Gard, France. Her lead in La Fiancee Du Pirate remains her signature role, opposite Claire Maurier. In 1973 she appeared in L' Histoire Tres Bonne Et Tres Joyeuse De Colinot Trousse-chemise alongside Ottavia Piccolo. Later work included Les Saisons Du Plaisir and Prisonnieres, both released in 1988. In 1999 she said her work was what kept her life moving. Bernadette Lafont died on July 25, 2013, after a long screen career.
