Barbara Steele

Barbara Steele built her name on Italian gothic horror in the 1960s. Her archive here includes one nude scene from David Cronenberg's Shivers. That 1975 film found her playing a supporting role in a body-horror outbreak story. Earlier in her career she had anchored genre classics like Black Sunday and The Pit and the Pendulum. Shivers marked a shift into more explicit material for the actress. The site holds two videos pulled from that single production. One clip shows a tits scene shared with Susan Petrie. Another catches Steele topless alongside Petrie and an unnamed male co-star. Both clips capture the outbreak-driven group scenes that made Shivers notorious. The footage is brief but genuine, drawn straight from the theatrical release. For an actress better known for screaming than stripping down, this is the rare explicit material on record. Two videos total make up her full presence in the archive.
