Amanda Lear, originally Tapp, is a French singer, lyricist, painter, TV presenter, actress and novelist. She started out as a fashion model in the mid-1960s and became a muse to Salvador Dalí. She first drew wide notice in 1973 as the cover model for Roxy Music's For Your Pleasure. She now lives in Saint-Étienne-du-Grès near Avignon in the south of France.
