X is Ti West's 2022 slasher throwback about a young crew shooting an adult film on a remote Texas farm in 1979, only to find their hosts far more dangerous than expected. Jenna Ortega plays the shy boom operator who gets pulled in front of the camera, and her arc gives the film some of its most talked-about skin.
