Working Girl (1988)

"Working Girl" is the 1988 comedy-drama about ambition and class clashing on Wall Street. A secretary's big break gets tangled up with office politics and a stolen identity scheme. Melanie Griffith stars as the scrappy underdog chasing her shot at the top. Sigourney Weaver plays her icy, scheming boss, whose rivalry fuels much of the film's tension. Both actresses show up in the flesh here, with two scenes on file for fans hunting their bared skin. Griffith's turn brings a naked, unguarded bit of screen time. Weaver's brief nude scene adds a sharper edge to her otherwise buttoned-up corporate villain. Together they make this a small but worthwhile double feature for the archive.
