The To Do List (2013)

The To Do List is a raunchy coming-of-age comedy set in the early '90s, following an overachieving valedictorian who spends her last summer before college working through a checklist of sexual experiences she's never had. Aubrey Plaza leads the film with a deadpan commitment that makes the material land harder than it has any right to, while Alia Shawkat and Sarah Steele round out her circle of equally clueless, equally game friends. The 2 scenes gathered here pull the nude and sex scene content from a script that treats bodies and awkward firsts with total bluntness. It's crude, sincere about its crudeness, and doesn't flinch from the explicit humor that gives it its edge.
