The Mysteries

The Mysteries is a 1968 mystery drama film. Rather than following a conventional plot, it treats war and love as equal forces and views their aftermath with the pity and understanding of the ancients, leaving the protagonists themselves as the central puzzle. Eve Matheson's nude scene is the best known part of her performance in the film. The picture favours symbolic imagery and visual allusion over straightforward storytelling.
