The Incredible Melting Man (1977)

"The Incredible Melting Man" is a late-70s horror cheapie about an astronaut who returns from space grotesquely disfigured. He is literally dissolving, leaving a trail of bodies as he searches for a cure. The gore effects earned the film its cult following. Genre fans also remember it for a brief glimpse of Cheryl "Rainbeaux" Smith. She was a drive-in era regular whose presence in low-budget schlock became something of a signature. Her one scene here, preserved on the site as a single clip, shows her topless. It adds a flash of skin to an otherwise grim, practical-effects-driven slasher.
