The Driftless Area (2015)

The Driftless Area is a moody neo-noir drama about a drifter pulled into a tangled scheme involving fate, hidden money, and a mysterious woman. Aubrey Plaza steps well outside her comedic register here, playing a role with real darkness to it. Zooey Deschanel rounds out the cast in a quieter, more understated turn. The hub carries 2 scenes total. Both catch Plaza fully nude in a serious, dramatic context rather than anything played for laughs.
