The Critic

The Critic is a 2024 crime thriller about Jimmy Erskine, a theatre reviewer who has built a career on destroying actors in print and whose job comes under threat once the Daily Chronicle changes hands to the late owner's son. To hang onto his influence he makes a deal with an actress whose career is going nowhere, and the arrangement pulls her, him and the new boss into blackmail and murder. Gemma Arterton plays that actress, and the archive holds 1 scene from her in the film, more a sexy scene than a nude one. One clip of Arterton, which is everything the picture gives up.
