Movie 1 videos 2 photosDirected by Bert Marcus
"The American Meme" is a 2018 Netflix documentary about the rise and cost of internet fame, following influencers and early social media figures who built careers out of being watched. Paris Hilton appears throughout, discussing her role in shaping the online persona economy well before it had a name. The archive holds 1 scene from the film, a brief nude clip that breaks from the interview format. It catches her outside the polished setup she's known for on camera.
