Shiva Baby (2021)

Shiva Baby is a comedy about a college student who runs into her sugar daddy and her ex-girlfriend at the same funeral gathering. Rachel Sennott plays the lead, spending much of the film squeezed into close quarters with people she can't avoid. Molly Gordon plays the ex, and their scenes together carry an unspoken history the small talk can't cover. The site holds 5 scenes pulled from the film showing that charge between them in tighter, more intimate framing than the rest of the movie. The camera stays close on both actresses throughout, catching every glance and touch in a house too crowded for anyone to hide in.
