Mektoub, My Love Canto Due (2025)

Mektoub, My Love: Canto Due is Abdellatif Kechiche's sprawling, sun-drenched continuation of his French coming-of-age saga, following the same loose, sensory drift through youth, desire, and long summer nights on the Riviera coast. The director's camera lingers as ever on bodies and glances, and Ophelie Bau anchors the film's most talked-about footage with an extended, unguarded scene that pushes the movie's already loose boundaries further. Lou Luttiau also appears among the ensemble of young performers populating this hazy nightlife world. Only 1 scene from the film has made it to the site so far, but it's a substantial one, capturing the raw, voyeuristic style Kechiche is known for. Meleinda Elasfour and Alexia Chardard round out the cast in a production built around the messy, unfiltered pulse of desire.
