Lancelot of the Lake (1974)

Robert Bresson's austere 1974 retelling of the Arthurian legend strips away the pageantry typically tied to the Camelot myth, focusing instead on guilt and decay after the failed quest for the Holy Grail. Laura Duke Condominas plays Guinevere, whose affair with Lancelot sits at the center of the story's unraveling. The archive holds 1 scene from the film, a brief glimpse of nudity shot within Bresson's tightly controlled, spare visual style.
