La Duquesa Roja is a comedy film released in 1997. An Andalusian duchess must decide the future of a grove on her land, caught between a nature reserve and a luxury development planned by the Basque financier Antónón Ibarrondo. With environmentalists and locals taking sides, the dispute heads toward a public referendum held during the yearly village pilgrimage. Nathalie Sesena appears nude as Carmen in the film's best-known scene.
