La Belle Epoque
Movie 1 videosDirected by Jim Burroughs and Suzanne Bauman
La Belle Epoque is a 1983 documentary looking back at the 1890-1914 era, when wealthy society across the Western world turned itself over to fashion, taste, and leisure while ignoring the unrest building around it. The film leans on archival footage, photographs, and interviews with people who actually lived through the period, including Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Diana Vreeland. Fanny Ardant also appears, and the archive holds 1 scene of her nude material from the program.
