L' Eau Froide (1994)

"L' Eau Froide" is Olivier Assayas's 1994 drama about two teenagers adrift in provincial France in the early 1970s. Their restlessness curdles into something closer to rebellion as the story unfolds. Virginie Ledoyen carries much of that mood with a performance that feels loose and unguarded. She was barely out of her teens herself when she made it, and that rawness shows on screen.
