Goltzius And The Pelican Company (2012)

Peter Greenaway's "Goltzius And The Pelican Company" follows a printmaker pitching increasingly scandalous biblical stories to a court patron, staging each one as an explicit tableau within the film itself. Halina Reijn and Maaike Neuville both appear in this theatrical mix of art and provocation. The site holds 2 nude scene clips from the film, pulled from those staged biblical episodes where nudity is part of the printmaker's pitch rather than incidental. Greenaway shoots the material as composed tableaux, closer to staged painting than straightforward sex scenes.
