Elle (2016)

"Elle" is Paul Verhoeven's 2016 French drama about a woman who hunts down the man who assaulted her instead of going to police, turning the story into something closer to psychological standoff than revenge thriller. Isabelle Huppert carries the picture, appearing nude and in several sex scenes that shift between vulnerability and calculation. Alice Isaaz, playing her son's girlfriend, appears in a scene of her own on the site. The archive holds 7 clips from the film, including one extended sequence involving Huppert that keeps coming up whenever the film is mentioned.
