Better Things (2016)

"Better Things" follows Pamela Adlon as a working actress and single mother juggling career chaos and family life in Los Angeles. The FX comedy mixes sharp humor with an unfiltered take on womanhood and aging. Adlon, who also created and directed much of the series, has never been shy about baring herself on screen. Her scenes favor real bodies and messy intimacy over anything glossy or staged. Mikey Madison, in a supporting role, brings her own share of topless and undressed scenes to the mix. Celia Imrie adds to the tally with candid exposure of her own. Altogether the archive holds 11 scenes pulled from the series. They span nudity, sex scenes, and topless footage that feel lived-in rather than engineered for shock value.
