Belle De Jour (1967)

"Belle de Jour" is Luis Buñuel's 1967 drama about a Parisian housewife who takes up secret afternoon work in a brothel while her husband stays unaware. Catherine Deneuve plays the lead, and the film built much of its reputation on the contrast between her controlled exterior and the exposure the role demanded of her.
