Angels In America

Angels In America is a 2003 drama with a fantasy streak, set in 1985 Manhattan with the Reagans in the White House and AIDS cutting through the city. Prior Walter tells Louis, his lover of four years, that he is sick; Louis walks out and the guilt follows him, while Mormon Republican attorney Joe Pitt gets steered toward a Justice Department post by fixer Roy Cohn, both men closeted for different reasons, and Pitt's wife Harper sits at home on Valium wanting out of a marriage where nothing happens in the bedroom. An angel turns up to offer Prior a prophet's job in death. Mary-Louise Parker is the only celebrity in the archive for this one, with 2 scenes clipped, nude and sex scene material rather than anything from the angel end of the story.
