American Housewife (2016)
TV 1 videosCreated by Sarah Dunn
"American Housewife" is the ABC sitcom that followed a suburban mother navigating family life, body image, and comparisons to her wealthier neighbors. Katy Mixon starred as the lead, with Carly Hughes playing her best friend next door. The network comedy stayed clean for broadcast, which makes the single clip in this archive notable. It catches Mixon and Hughes outside the show's usual family-hour limits, the one scene here that departs from the sitcom's script.
