A Life Interrupted

A Life Interrupted is a 2007 TV drama based on the true story of Debbie Smith, a housewife raped in 1989 while her police officer husband Rob slept upstairs, whose attacker was only caught six years later through a chance DNA match. The film follows her from the rape kit and the long wait through her campaign to clear the national backlog of untested kits so other women do not wait years for justice. Lea Thompson leads the cast, and the archive holds a single clip from the film, one scene in total.
