The Bold Type (2017)

"The Bold Type" is a drama series set inside the offices of a glossy women's magazine. It follows three friends as they chase careers, romance, and self-discovery in New York City. The show earned a devoted following for tackling sexuality and relationships with an honesty rare for network television. That openness carries straight into this archive, which pulls together 44 scenes from the series. Katie Stevens and Meghann Fahy anchor plenty of the physical storylines. Their sex scenes and topless bits push past the usual primetime restraint. Aisha Dee and Nikohl Boosheri bring their own charged chemistry to the mix. Olivia Luccardi, Kaija Matiss, and Alex Paxton-Beesley add further layers to the ensemble. Alexis Floyd, Katerina Tannenbaum, and Sarah Booth round out a cast willing to go there when the script calls for it. Together the clips show a side of "The Bold Type" that the magazine gloss never quite prepared viewers for.
